This lively program examines how mass media provided people with entertainment and news before the age of the Internet. 
   Newspapers and printed matter are part of the story, but the program quickly moves to the golden age of broadcasting when people turned to radios and televisions.
  The program includes fascinating and entertaining soundbites to help take audiences back to that era as participants hear nostalgic radio dramas, tunes from long ago, and urgent news flashes.  
​   The audio, which will be customized for the group, may include the “War of the Worlds” broadcast, which caused a nationwide panic, popular dramas such as the Shadow series and old-time music genres that many will recognize.
